When audiences watch Craig for the first time, for many, the first word that comes to mind is "class". His vocal style, appearence, choice of material and overall professionalism back this up.
His first appearance on stage was at the age of just 6! While on a family holiday in the UK Craig entered a talent contest, performing a Brotherhood Of Man song, he won. The rest as they say is history. Thoughout his childhood he regularly entered and won talent contests as well as more traditional music festivals. He also performed in a number of amateur dramatic shows including 'Oliver', Mame and Gypsy as well as numerous school productions.
After leaving education aged 18 Craig began singing profesionally in small local venues in his home city of Hull. It certainly didn't take him long to become a well established, talented, confident and quality performer, capable of achieving sucess at every level. His mature classy vocals often belie his age because, despite being a professional singer for almost 20 years, Craig is still a young man.Through experience Craig has learnt that versatility is extremely important as a cabaret performer. He is equally as comfortable singing to 2000 people in a theatre or 500 people on a cruise ship as he is to singing to 12 people in a restaurant.
With a varied and interesting programme covering a range from standards (Neil Diamond, Tony Christie and Elvis), to West End Shows (Les Miserables, West Side Story and Guys and Dolls), through to modern chart hits (Big Bang, Kaiser Chiefs and Robbie Williams). Craig can readily enthral and captivate audiences of all ages.
However it is with swing and jazz music where Craig's heart really lies. With the renewed popularity of swing and jazz music amongst people of all ages, he has found that his tribute to the greats of the swing era is now very much in demand. With songs from Bobby Darin, Dean Martin, Matt Monro, Sammy Davis Jnr, Tony Bennet, Michael Buble and of course Frank Sinatra. Craig is very much his own man, never imitating but of course influenced by the greats of the past Craig performs in his own style.
The last few years have been extremely succesful and varied. Craig has regularly worked for Warner Holidays, Butlins Hotels, Grand Hotels, Saga Holidays and Haven Holidays. He is no stranger to cruise ships either, having worked for Viking Line in the Baltic, and for My Travel Sun Cruises in Scandinavia, The Mediterranean and the Caribbean. He has been a regular performer on the P&O cruise fleet entertaining on Artemis, Oriana and Aurora. He was also a regular on the worlds largest cruise ferry M\S Color Fantasy sailing from Oslo in Norway.
As well as his singing talents Craig is also well known as a presenter and compere. For 2 years he was the match day presenter for Rugby Super League Team Huddersfield Giants where he regularly worked infront of crowds of over 10,000.
There have been many highlights in the recent past including a winning appearance on ITV's "My Kind of Music". On the programme which was watched by over 9 million people, Craig performed the classic song "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables" from Les Miserables.
Craig produced and performed in a sell out show at the 1200 seat Hull New Theatre, this was repeated 18 months later and between them the two shows raised over £15,000 for local charity. In the same year Craig was very proud to be chosen to perform the National Anthems at an International Rugby League match as well as appearing in the BBC film "Thunder Road". He was chosen from many performers to sing two classic Frank Sinatra numbers.
