2004 - 2005
Between May and September 2005 Craig performed at 25 weddings and another 10 private parties and totaled over 90 gigs in just 5 months.
With Weddings, Anniversaries, Birthday Parties, Holiday Camps, Hotels, Restaraunts, Retirements, Theatres and Clubs it was a varied and interesting summer. Craig also performed on a number of occasions for Salford City Reds Rugby League Club.
In February 2005 Craig spent the month on the brand new ship M/S Color Fantasy. The ship, which was launched in December 2004 and at the time was the largest cruise ferry in the world (75,000 tons) opporates between Oslo in Norway and Kiel in Germany.
In March 2005 Craig flew out to the Canary Isles to sing on the Carousel once again. This was the third time that Craig had sang on this particular cruise ship and the seventh time in total that he had worked for My Travel. As always, he had a great time entertaining the My Travel audiences. During his week long stay the ship visited Tenerife, Lanzarote, Morocco, Madeira, La Palma and Gran Canaria.
In January 2005 Craig joined dozens of other entertainers in a concert to raise funds for the Asian Tsunami appeal. The show which was watched by an audience of over 1200 took place at the Hull City Hall. Craig and three of his fellow performers, Mike Caine, Matty Addison and Stevie J performed a tribute to the Rat Pack. The show raised over £11,000 for the appeal.
In November of 2004 Craig was delighted to have the opportunity to work with the legendary drummer Eric Delaney in Spain.
Craig was invited over to Spain by good friend and band leader Mike Smith. The pair joined Eric and a fabulous 18 piece orchestra in two sell out shows at theatres around Alicante as well as a fantastic outdoor show with a smaller 7 piece band. There were also appearances on two local radio stations.
Despite having turned 80 last year Eric was in tremendous form during the concerts. Aswell as performing many of his own hits including Oranges and Lemons Eric also backed Craig during his spots in the show on classic songs such as Have You Met Miss Jones, Mack The Knife and Aint That A Kick In The Head. (Sadly, after a lifetime in music Eric passed away in the summer of 2011 aged 87)
